Welcome to Lost Nation, Iowa

Modern Woodmen Association's Kids Club

MWA Youth Service Clubs Joined Hands with the LN American Legion Auxiliary on May 5th to put together comfort kits for the residents at the VA Home in Marshalltown, IA.

A total of 24 kits were made and ready for delivery!  Special thanks to Susan Drury for delivering them for us!

But from the looks of it, it's hard to tell who had the most fun...

On Sunday, September 9th, 2012, Rex McCreight from Tiptonís Friends Of The Animals Shelter came and talked to us about pets.  He told us that their shelter is full right now and if we were thinking about adding a pet to our families we should consider rescuing a pet from a shelter.  We collected some pet items for him to take back to the shelter, our gift to them. We love our pets!!!

MWA Youth Clubs meet the second Thursday of each month at the Lost Nation Library from 4:00 to 5:00 pm.

Children and teens of all ages are welcome and encouraged to attend.

We participate in activities that benefit our community and encourage volunteering. Some things we have done in the past include picking up litter, making crafts to share with nursing home residents, planting trees, sending cards to veterans, and helping the animal shelters and food pantry.

There is no cost to attend our activities and snacks are served.
